Exteriors of a Grade II listed property with ornate feature.

Case Study

Eagle Building refurbished externally and internally

Externally

We acted for the Building owner to make external repairs to this Grade II listed property. Access was very difficult onto the roof and a full scaffold was erected to the building and the roof areas accessed. In conjunction with the Conservation Officer, the roof was repaired using salvaged Westmorland green slate, the gutters were relined to stop the leaking joints whilst not changing the gutter profile. The internal cast lead rainwater pipes were cleared of tree roots and debris and blockages removed from within the building.
The windows were externally redecorated, and the pigeon repellent measure repaired whilst access to the building was available. Previously installed fixings, eye bolts and the like that were no longer required were removed and pointed to match the surrounding stonework.
We acted as Building Surveyors, Principal Designer and Contract Administrator for the project.

Internally

The building was refurbished to re-let as a serviced office as a design and build contract. The Client asked us to manage the contractor and to act as Project Manager and Contract Administrator. The rooms were redecorated, new carpets were fitted, new sink units, minor alterations to layout as well as new lighting connectivity.
