Re-roofing scheme to detached residential block in Greater Manchester
We were instructed by the Management company of the large 3-storey multi-block apartment community to replace the roof coverings to two of their blocks, in separate phases. We replaced the concrete tiles which were failing due to their age and causing the tiles to shale and split.
We prepared a design to replace the tiles with new and remove the asbestos cement verges. We also upgraded the insulation to the top floor apartments to meet building regulations. We fitted mechanically fixed ridge tiles and verge sections to reduce the need to maintain the roof which is not easily accessed.
We acted as Principal Designer, Project Manager & Contract Administrator on both phases of roofing and there are likely to be further phases as funds allow.
