Kershaw Surveyors are experts in building pathology, inspecting properties across the North West of England and beyond. Our firm was formerly known as John Kershaw Chartered Surveyors, founded in 1983 by our director; we became a limited company in 2015.
We have a strong reputation for impartial, balanced and clear advice in relation to housing disrepair diagnosis, remedial works required to resolve them, as well as costs and liability associated therewith.
Our surveyors are members of and certified by:
- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- Independent Surveyors and Valuers Association (ISVA)
- Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors (FPWS)
When we are approached to identify the cause of a problem, examine a building for defects, or provide our opinion on an item of claim in litigation, we understand that a building must usually be examined in its entirety to understand the full picture of its condition and any problems which have arisen. Our methodology is comprehensive and supported by decades of experience.
We have an extensive knowledge of our region's housing stock with a vast archive of past cases for reference. Our instructions regularly take us to properties in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire, Northumberland, and West Yorkshire.
Kershaw Surveyors has long standing professional association with its sister practice Triangle Architects whose practice focuses mainly on the social housing and healthcare sectors.
Please see Our Standard Terms of engagement for details about our fees and the scope of our surveys.
